Things are pretty tight at the bottom end of the Scottish Premiership table as we fast approach the end of the 2022/23 campaign, just a single point separating bottom side Ross County from third-from-bottom side Dundee United.
While Celtic have wrapped things up at the summit of the Scottish Premiership table, things are far less clear in the lower echelons of the division. Ross County currently sit at the bottom of the table but they are currently just a single point behind Kilmarnock and Dundee United with four games left to play.
The curtain will soon come down on the 2022/23 Scottish Premiership campaign and with each of the bottom sides having four games left to play, Ross County occupy bottom spot. The Stags have won just 8 of their 34 league outings this term but they boosted their chances of top-flight survival thanks to a much-needed 2-0 victory over Livingston in their last match. Indeed, County have won two of their last four and there’s still plenty of optimism in the Stage camp that relegation can be avoided this season.
Dundee United remain very much in the danger zone despite recent wins over Hibernian, Motherwell and Livingston. The Tayside outfit suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat against local rivals St Johnstone in their last outing however and as things stand they sit just one point above Ross County with four games left to play. United go head-to-head with the Stags in a real six-pointer this coming weekend in a match which could prove pivotal in determining which side maintains their Premiership status.
Kilmarnock came off second best at the weekend when losing 2-0 at Motherwell and with just a single point separating them from bottom side Ross County, the Ayrshire outfit are in real danger of dropping straight back into the Scottish Championship at the first time of asking. Kilmarnock face Livingston this coming weekend and a win could lift them out of the danger zone, however at the time of writing they remain one of the relegation favourites, the best free bet bookmakers going 6/4 that they suffer the drop.
