Super Bowl LV Betting -

The Kansas City Chiefs are back in Florida this weekend aiming to win a second successive Super Bowl, having won Super Bowl LIV at the Hard Rock Stadium Miami Gardens, 12 months ago. The Chiefs, this year’s AFC (American Football Conference) champions will face NFC (National Football Conference) champions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. As we preview the self-proclaimed ‘Greatest Show on Earth’, we provide odds from our betting partner, Paddy Power.

Super Bowl LV lowdown

Having won their second Super Bowl championship last year, Kansas City Chiefs are the bookies’ favourites to win back-to-back Vince Lombardi trophies in Tampa. The Chiefs recorded an NFL-best 14-2 record with their second loss of the year coming in their last game with the number one seeding already secured.

The Buccaneers’ passage to the Super Bowl was far less emphatic. Qualifying as fifth seed in the AFC division with an 11-5 record, they could become the first wild card to win the Super Bowl since Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV. However, Tampa Bay Buccaneers will become the first side to contest a Super Bowl at their home ground which makes this a much tighter game to call than their odds would suggest.

Record-breaking Brady

Buccaneers’ quarterback, Tom Brady, is set to appear in a record tenth Super Bowl having made nine Super Bowl appearances at previous team, New England Patriots. Brady already holds two individual records having won six Super Bowl championships and four MVP (Most Valuable Player) awards during his time at the Patriots. Paddy Power are offering incredibly generous odds of 15/8 on Brady to claim a fifth MVP award. Opposing quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, won the award last year and is the bookies’ odds-on favourite at 10/11 to claim back-to-back MVPs. It should be noted however that no player has won back-to-back awards since Terry Bradshaw in 1979 and 1980.

Super Bowl Novelty Specials

The Super Bowl as a sporting event will forever be the pinnacle for anyone fortunate enough to compete however as a spectacle it offers so much more than just a game of football. For this reason, Paddy Power’s novelty bets will prove hugely popular amongst bettors. Here’s just a few Super Bowl novelty bets you may want to consider.
