Bet365 Launches in New Jersey

Bet365 Launches in New Jersey -

Bet365 is one of the leading betting sites in the UK, with more than a million of our friends over the pond using the Bet365 betting platform daily. Renowned for its impressive odds and equally as impressive betting promotions, it understandably went down well when the betting giants announced its entrance into the New Jersey betting market.

Details of the expansion were announced this week, with New Jersey bettors intrigued to learn more about this ‘soft launch’. Though no products are being promoted, New Jersey residents are being invited to register with the Stoke-based firm ahead of its full launch; the date of which is yet to be announced.

Revealing their news on Twitter, the brand stated the following:

“The new bet365 site is going through a pre-live phase and is only available during certain time periods. It is now available to register for an account within the US, however to engage in wagering you must be physically located in the state of New Jersey.”

Following in the footsteps of betting rivals, William Hill and Paddy Power, many wondered why it took so long for Bet365 to enter the US market. According to sources, the brand were  waiting on approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement; approval which they now have. Having been working on this venture for over 12 months, many have reported that the registration process sets a good precedence for what is to come, with anyone within the New Jersey state lines abl to become a customer with a few taps of an iPhone.

Sharing their experiences with the test site on Twitter, one user wrote:

‘Registering took about 20 seconds. It was all very easy!’

While another wrote:

'Just registered with Bet365. It’s just a shame the site isn’t taking bets in time for the NFL!’.

But, Bet365 are not working alone in their mission to triumph in the US betting market. Bet365 has actually formed a close partnership with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City for this venture. This deal was penned back in 2018, pretty much immediately after the federal ban on sports betting was lifted.

If there are no issues presented during this soft launch phase, we can expect to see Bet365 in full operation mode as early as the turn of the year.

And, this is not the only US venture Bet365 are exploring. In addition to its new offices in Marlton, New Jersey, Bet365 will be opening up a facility in New York. Developing a deal with Empire Resorts, Bet365 looks to launch both a retail sportsbook and an online sports betting platform in the Big Apple. This will add huge value to the brand’s $50M worth of shares in Empire Resorts.
